Heartprint uses facial recognition technology to create a unique biometric vector (mathematical representation) from your photos. We collect: • Facial biometric data (converted to 512-dimensional vectors) • Profile information (name, age, preferences) • Usage data and interactions within the app • Device information and location data (with your permission)
2. How We Use Your Data
Your biometric vector is used exclusively for matching purposes: • Finding compatible matches based on facial similarity patterns • Improving our AI matching algorithms • Ensuring platform safety and preventing fraud • Providing customer support We do NOT: • Sell your data to third parties • Use your photos for any purpose other than creating vectors • Share your biometric data with advertisers
3. Data Storage and Security
Your photos are processed locally on your device whenever possible. The biometric vectors are: • Encrypted in transit and at rest • Stored securely in our isolated vector database • Protected by industry-standard security measures • Never shared in their raw form with other users Original photos are not permanently stored on our servers after vector creation.
4. Approximate Matching
Important: Our matching algorithm searches for similar facial patterns in a broad range. This is NOT exact facial recognition or person identification: • Matches are based on facial feature patterns, not identity • The system finds people with similar facial characteristics • This is an approximate search within configurable similarity thresholds • Your photos are NEVER uploaded to find specific individuals
5. Your Rights
You have the right to: • Access your personal data • Request deletion of your account and all associated data • Opt out of certain data collection practices • Export your data • Update or correct your information To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@heartprint.app
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion: • Biometric vectors are permanently deleted within 30 days • Profile data is anonymized or deleted • Backups are purged within 90 days
7. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services for: • Cloud infrastructure (AWS) • Analytics (anonymized) • Payment processing These services have their own privacy policies and do not receive your biometric data.
8. Children's Privacy
Heartprint is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in different countries where our servers are located. We ensure adequate protection measures are in place.
